I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique and authorized Cambridge Audio dealer, and these Edge M monoblock amplifiers are dealer demos from our showroom. They are in excellent condition and perfect working order.

They comes with stock power cables and original accessories and ship in their original box and packaging.

Released at $10K MSRP/pair, the EDGE M is a cost-no-object manifestation for its 50th anniversary. It’s Class A-like topology is extremely dynamic and fast, while lending itself to be slightly warm in nature, and doubling its output power leads to a significant improvement over its younger sibling the EDGE W. They will drive pretty much any speaker on the market with ease, and they demonstrate impeccable imaging and excellent sound staging beyond the plane of the speakers.

Check my stellar feedback and buy with confidence. I can offer attractive shipping and insurance rates, but the cost is on the buyer. I prefer fee-free payments, which include ACH bank payments, PayPal F&F, Venmo Gift, cashier’s check, and personal check (has to clear prior to shipping), but I can accept credit card payments through my QuickBooks invoicing system.

Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for your consideration.

More about the unit:
Experience British high-fidelity engineering at its most refined with the Cambridge Audio EDGE M, the flagship monoblock amplifier from a company that pioneered the use of toroidal transformers in audio amplification over fifty years ago. Named in honor of Professor Gordon Edge—co-founder of Cambridge Audio and designer of the legendary P40 integrated amplifier that launched the company in 1968—the EDGE M represents more than three years of development by a dedicated nine-person UK engineering team given a singular directive: forget cost, forget limitations, deliver the purest expression of “Great British Sound” possible. The amplifier employs Cambridge Audio’s proprietary Class XA topology, which adds a bias voltage to a traditional Class AB design, shifting the crossover point to a region where distortion becomes inaudible to the human ear while maintaining superior efficiency and reduced heat output compared to pure Class A operation. Opposing symmetry twin toroidal transformers cancel electromagnetic interference while delivering massive current reserves, and a signal path containing only fourteen hand-selected components—each chosen through blind listening tests rather than specifications or price—ensures nothing stands between source and speaker. Reviewers consistently describe the EDGE M’s presentation as natural and dimensional, leaning toward the softer, warmer side of neutral without sacrificing resolution or control. The EDGE M offers both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs, ensuring compatibility with virtually any preamplifier, while its fully balanced internal architecture from input to output renders it immune to noise and common-mode distortion—particularly valuable in systems requiring longer cable runs.

Power output reaches 200 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 350 watts into 4 ohms, with total harmonic distortion measuring below 0.002% at 1kHz and frequency response extending from below 3Hz to beyond 80kHz. The amplifier’s substantial 23.6kg (52 lb) chassis—featuring elegantly integrated heatsinks and a curved extruded aluminum front panel that minimizes vibration-induced distortion—reflects both its robust construction and the serious engineering within. Priced at $4,749 USD each, a matched pair delivers world-class amplification for under $10,000, positioning the EDGE M as exceptional value against competitors at multiples of its price. As one reviewer noted, they compare favorably to “much more expensive amplifiers”—smooth and transparent, neither warm nor sterile, simply neutral—with the kind of effortless authority and low-level detail retrieval that transforms demanding loudspeakers into willing musical partners.
