Purity Within Everyone’s Reach

This SACD player from the Absolute line spares no expense in quality, drawing inspiration from the state-of-the-art technologies of our prestigious Heritage line. It features a high-performance D&M SACD mechanism, synchronized by an ultra-precise quartz. To broaden its versatility with digital sources, the system is equipped with a USB input (PCM/DSD). The pair of DACs, integrated on a single board and crafted in a true dual-mono architecture, is entrusted with reviving digitized music.

The digital-to-analog converter technology is based on the innovative 8-2-1-1 topology, inherited from that used in the Heritage line. This architecture incorporates eight synchronous DACs operating in current mode, meticulously grouped into two clusters to enhance the signal dynamics during the current-to-voltage conversion, thus yielding two distinct voltage groups. These two groups are then artfully recombined into a single signal path before passing through the exclusive “Revival Filter,” which breathes new life into the music. Following this revitalization, the voltage signal requires the utmost delicate handling, remaining untouched by any active components. Consequently, the final attenuator responsible for adjusting the output level is composed exclusively of high-quality metal film resistors, each exhibiting an exceptional tolerance of 0.1 %. This attenuator based on CRQL topology guarantees an output impedance of 50 Ω per polarity in every configuration.

The Revival Filter restores the breath of life to the sound that it had before digitization, thanks to a meticulous attention that has been dedicated to phase optimization.

To satisfy most preamplifiers on the market, the final stage allows you to choose between three output levels: “High”, “Med” and “Low”

Orpheus Lab is a Swiss electronics atelier that takes its name from the mythological poet whose music was said to move the world itself. That ambition is not accidental. Working from a tradition closer to fine watchmaking than conventional audio manufacturing, Orpheus Lab designs amplifiers and disc players with a philosophical clarity that reveals itself the moment music begins. The brand's digital foundations trace to Florian Cossy and Thierry Heeb, two engineers who came out of Goldmund, shaped the early architecture of Orpheus Lab's digital playback, and went on to found CH Precision. Their house sound is described as possessing an elegance and gracefulness — long on smooth, richly hued control — that makes music feel like a luxury. These are components designed not for those still chasing specifications, but for those who have arrived at a point where only the music itself matters.
