I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. These Acora Acoustics SRC-1 loudspeakers are in on consignment from one of my local clients. They are the high-polish black granite finish. The speakers are in excellent condition with no notable wear on the cabinets or drivers, and are in perfect working order. Note: there is a small crystalline spot on one of the speakers on the rear angle which looks like some sort of cosmetic defect, but this is just an artifact of the granite. See photos below. Single owner, purchased in 2021. The speakers come with their original boxes, accessory box with footers, tools, and sliders. No tax charged outside of Minnesota.
There are a handful of loudspeaker companies doing something genuinely different, and Acora Acoustics is one of them. The SRC-1’s enclosure is not wood. It is not aluminum or composite. It is solid granite, precision-cut and polished to a mirror finish, and the sonic benefit is not cosmetic. Wood resonates. It stores energy and releases it back into the sound, adding coloration that most listeners have simply learned to accept as part of what a speaker sounds like. Granite does not do that. It is so dense and inert that the cabinet effectively disappears from the equation, and what you hear is the drivers and the crossover with nothing else layered on top. The result is a presentation that is strikingly transparent and uncolored. Imaging is razor-sharp, the soundstage is immersive and deep, and transients arrive with a speed and clarity that catches you off guard. The SRC-1 is a two-way floorstander optimized for rooms from 120 to 500 square feet, and despite being a two-way design, it reaches down to 29Hz with legitimate bass authority. At 90.5dB sensitivity and a benign 8-ohm nominal impedance, it is an easy load for amplifiers from 10 to 250 watts. These speakers are as visually stunning as they are sonically transparent. The polished black granite catches light in a way that no painted or veneered cabinet can replicate. They are functional art pieces that happen to produce some of the most honest sound reproduction available at any price.
There are currently several other components from this client’s system available. Take a look through our preowned listings to see them all.

More about the speakers:
The Acora Acoustics SRC-1 is a two-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker designed and manufactured in the greater Toronto area by Valerio Cora, whose family has been in the dimensional stone business for over 50 years. The SRC-1’s enclosure is machined from solid granite, selected for its extreme density, rigidity, and near-zero resonance characteristics. Unlike wood, MDF, or aluminum enclosures, granite stores virtually no energy from the drivers’ back wave, eliminating the cabinet coloration that plagues conventional loudspeaker designs. The granite panels are precision-cut and assembled to tight tolerances, then polished to a high-gloss finish. The SRC-1 employs a custom-modified ceramic dome tweeter and a custom-voiced paper cone woofer, both selected and tuned by Acora for musicality, tonal balance, and dynamic expression. The paper cone woofer delivers natural warmth, fast transients, and deep, articulate bass. The crossover is the result of exacting engineering and extensive listening, designed for perfect phase alignment and seamless driver integration. Internal layout is optimized for signal purity and mechanical isolation, with oxygen-free continuous-cast copper internal wiring from Cardas Audio. The SRC-1 is designed for rooms from 120 to 500 square feet but can be used in larger spaces. Frequency response extends from 29Hz to 30kHz. Sensitivity is 90.5dB. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms. Recommended amplifier power is 10 to 250 watts. The rear-firing bass reflex port is tuned for extended low-frequency response with minimal turbulence. Each speaker ships with adjustable footers, tools, and sliders for precise positioning on any floor surface. Available in high-polish black granite (standard), with white and other granite finishes available as special orders. Dimensions: 18.0 x 43.0 x 14.0 inches (W x H x D). Weight: approximately 246 lbs each.
