I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. This Analysis Plus Oval Theater 4 REL Speakon cable is in on consignment from one of my local clients. It is an 8ft length, custom-terminated by Analysis Plus with a Swiss-made Neutrik Speakon connector on the REL end and gold-plated spade connectors on the amplifier end. The cable is in excellent condition with minimal wear and in perfect working order.

The Oval Theater 4 is a step up from the standard Analysis Plus REL Subwoofer Cable. Where the standard REL cable is purpose-built for subwoofer duty, the Oval Theater 4 is a premium four-conductor speaker cable from Analysis Plus’ home theater line, custom-terminated here with a Speakon connector for REL high-level connection. The four 16 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors use Analysis Plus’ patented hollow oval geometry in a braided configuration, and the additional conductor count gives the cable more current-carrying capacity and lower overall resistance than the standard REL cable. In practice, that translates to tighter, more controlled bass with better transient definition and improved dynamics on demanding low-frequency material. This is the kind of custom order that REL owners in the know request when they want to extract maximum performance from the high-level connection. A pair of REL S/5 subwoofers from the same client’s system are also available, as well as a standard 9ft Analysis Plus REL Speakon cable.

The Analysis Plus Oval Theater 4 is a premium four-conductor speaker cable from Analysis Plus’ home theater line, designed and hand-constructed at the Analysis Plus factory in Flushing, Michigan. The cable features four 16 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors woven into Analysis Plus’ patented hollow oval geometry. This four-wire configuration was originally designed for home theater applications where longer cable runs and in-wall installation are common (the cable carries a UL CL3 rating for in-wall use), but its higher conductor count and lower aggregate resistance also make it an excellent choice for subwoofer high-level connections. The patented hollow oval woven design places every conductor wire statistically equidistant from the return current path, producing evenly distributed current density and lower inductance than conventional round conductor designs. This example was custom-terminated by Analysis Plus with a Swiss-made Neutrik Speakon connector on the REL end and gold-plated spade connectors on the amplifier end for use as a REL high-level subwoofer cable. All solder connections use pure silver for maximum conductivity and long-term resistance to oxidation. The 8ft length provides generous reach between amplifier and subwoofer.
