I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. These Harmonic Resolution Systems Nimbus NA-100 isolation assemblies are in on consignment from one of my local clients. Six are available and priced individually. The assemblies are in very good preowned condition with minor wear and in perfect working order. The NA-100 is the 1-inch height model.

Chief Engineer Michael Latvis brought over 35 years of engineering experience from aerospace and defense vibration analysis to the audio world, and the Nimbus system reflects that background. The NA-100 assembly consists of two proprietary polymer Nimbus Couplers bonded top and bottom to a billet-machined aircraft aluminum Nimbus Spacer. One coupler contacts the shelf surface, the other contacts the bottom chassis of the component directly, bypassing the factory feet entirely. This is an important distinction: the Nimbus is not placed under the existing feet. It replaces them, making direct contact with the chassis to address bottom-panel resonance at its source. The design converts unwanted mechanical energy into heat through a precisely calibrated combination of mass, stiffness, and damping. In practice, the effect on a DAC, preamplifier, or transport is immediately audible: backgrounds get quieter, images sharpen, and there is a sense of the music emerging from a calmer, more composed foundation. Three assemblies are recommended for most source components and preamplifiers, four for heavier components and amplifiers, so six will outfit two components.

The Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS) Nimbus NA-100 is the 1-inch height model in the Nimbus Assembly range, which also includes the NA-150 (1.5 inches) and NA-200 (2 inches). Designed by Chief Engineer Michael Latvis, who holds over 35 years of engineering and product development experience specializing in vibration analysis and isolation systems for commercial and military aircraft and missile defense systems, the Nimbus system addresses a specific and often overlooked source of distortion in audio systems: bottom-panel chassis resonance. Every electronic component has a chassis that resonates in response to both internally generated vibrations (from transformers, power supplies, spinning media, and signal processing) and externally transmitted vibrations from the supporting surface. The Nimbus Assembly is precision manufactured from billet-machined black anodized aircraft-grade aluminum (the Spacer) bonded to two proprietary polymer Nimbus Couplers using a precision transfer mold with less than one-thousandth of an inch tolerance. The polymer formulation was developed and refined through years of engineering analysis and extensive listening tests. The assembly is placed directly on the shelf with one coupler contacting the shelf surface and the other contacting the bottom chassis of the component, bypassing the component’s factory feet. A very specific amount of mass, stiffness, and damping eliminates chassis resonance problems and transforms residual chassis energy into heat. The Nimbus system can be further enhanced when used in combination with HRS Damping Plates placed on top of the component. Three assemblies are recommended for most standard-sized source components and preamplifiers, four for heavier electronics and loudspeakers. A set of five has virtually no weight handling limitation.
