I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. This Lumagen RadiancePro 4242 video processor is in on consignment from one of my local clients. The unit is in very good condition with very minor wear on the faceplate and in perfect working order. The 4242 configuration features four HDMI inputs and two processed HDMI outputs. This processor was part of a 16-channel home theater system that has been taken down as the client prepares to move to a new home.

The unit comes with its power cable and remote control. The original box is not available, but the unit will be packed securely for safe shipping.

The Lumagen RadiancePro is the video processor that every serious home theater calibrator and integrator reaches for when image quality is the priority. It is not a consumer-friendly plug-and-play box. It is a professional-grade tool that rewards patience with results that no display or projector can achieve on its own. The headline feature is Lumagen’s proprietary Dynamic Tone Mapping, which analyzes HDR content on a scene-by-scene basis and remaps the brightness, contrast, and color to match what the content creator saw on the studio reference monitor. Every projector and display handles HDR differently, and most of them handle it poorly. The Lumagen fixes that. Its DTM implementation is widely regarded as the best available at any price, producing HDR images that are more natural, more detailed in both highlights and shadows, and more consistent from scene to scene than what any display’s built-in processing can deliver. The proprietary NoRing scaling algorithm is equally impressive, producing upscaled and downscaled images that are measurably superior to competing processors when tested on Tektronix PQA600C image quality analysis equipment. The 4913-point (17x17x17) CMS and 21-point parametric grayscale calibration give a professional calibrator complete control over the image. Because the RadiancePro is built on an FPGA platform, Lumagen has been able to deliver major feature and performance upgrades via firmware updates throughout the product’s life, and the company offers lifetime software updates. If you are building or upgrading a projection-based theater and care about getting the most accurate image possible from your projector, the RadiancePro is not optional. It is essential.

There are currently several other components from this client’s system available. Take a look through our preowned listings to see them all.
