I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. These Nordost Sort Kone BC resonance control devices are in on consignment from one of my clients. Nine are available and priced individually. Single owner, in very good to excellent condition and perfect working order. Three or four Sort Kones are typically used per component, so nine will outfit two to three components. I may entertain lower pricing if all are purchased at once.

Each Sort Kone comes with its original box.

Most isolation footers try to stop vibration from reaching a component. The Sort Kone takes the opposite approach. Every component generates its own internal vibration from transformers, power supplies, and circuit boards, and the soft rubber feet most components ship with trap that energy inside the chassis, where it smears detail and muddies timing. The Sort Kone bypasses those feet and gives that energy a direct, mechanically tuned path out of the component and down to ground. The difference is easy to hear. The background gets blacker, images snap into sharper focus, and instruments gain color and separation. Dynamics feel less constrained, and there is a clearer sense of rhythm and pace. The BC sits above the aluminum AC in Nordost’s lineup, using a bronze post and base for a denser, more neutral resonance character, paired with the same upgraded ceramic coupling ball. Owners who have tried both tend to describe the BC as fuller and more relaxed without losing the speed that makes the Sort Kone effective. They work under virtually anything: DACs, streamers, preamplifiers, power supplies, and power amplifiers, and three of them comfortably support even heavy amplifiers.

More about the Sort Kones:
The Nordost Sort Kone is a frequency-tuned, directly coupled resonance control device from Nordost’s Sort System, designed and manufactured in Holliston, Massachusetts. It is placed directly beneath a component’s chassis, bypassing the factory feet, to provide a mechanical ground path that drains internally generated vibration and resonance away from the electronics. The Sort Kone uses a mechanically tuned three-part construction: a post, a base, and a coupling ball between them. The line is offered in several material grades: AS (aluminum with steel ball), AC (aluminum with ceramic ball), BC (bronze with ceramic ball), and TC (titanium with ceramic ball). The BC pairs a bronze post and base with Nordost’s upgraded ceramic coupling ball. Nordost does not publish a formal weight rating, but the bronze construction is substantial, and used in sets of three or more, the BC supports even heavy power amplifiers. The Sort Kone can be used on its own or combined with Nordost’s Sort Lift and Sort Füt for further tuning of components, racks, and loudspeakers. Sold individually. Covered by Nordost’s limited lifetime warranty. Reviewed in Hi-Fi+ and The Absolute Sound.
