Custom 2M RCA-to-BNC Sigma-X S/PDIF with TAPc and CMode delivers reference-level digital clarity with proper 75-ohm impedance matching end to end.

I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. This Shunyata Sigma-X S/PDIF digital cable is in on consignment from one of my local clients. It is a 2M custom-order length with mixed termination: RCA on one end and BNC on the other. The cable is in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This is a custom configuration direct from Shunyata, making it an uncommon find on the used market.
The cable comes with its original paperwork and packaging.
The Sigma-X S/PDIF sits near the top of Shunyata’s digital cable hierarchy, second only to the Omega. In a well-resolved digital front end, this cable earns its place quickly. There is a noticeable drop in the noise floor and a sense of ease to the presentation that makes digital playback feel less mechanical. Timing and transient edges come through with a naturalness that you don’t always get from coaxial connections, and the background silence lets low-level detail emerge without any sense of strain. The mixed RCA-to-BNC termination makes this especially practical for systems bridging components with different digital outputs, such as a transport or streamer with RCA out feeding a DAC with BNC input. If you are running a Chord DAC, dCS, or similar component with BNC S/PDIF inputs, this saves you from using an adapter and preserves proper 75-ohm impedance matching end to end.
There are currently several other Shunyata cables listed from the same collection. Take a look through our preowned listings to see them all.
Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for your consideration.
Check my stellar feedback and buy with confidence. This listing includes free insured shipping across the CONUS. As this is a passthrough sale that I am brokering on behalf of my client, I prefer to accept payments via PayPal F&F, Venmo Gift, or personal check, but this also gives you the opportunity to attain this at my lowest possible price. Credit card payments are also possible for a 3.1% convenience charge.
More about the cable:
The Shunyata Sigma-X S/PDIF is the current flagship coaxial digital cable in Shunyata Research’s Reference Series, designed by Caelin Gabriel, whose background in high-speed digital signal acquisition for the military directly informs the company’s approach to digital cable engineering. The Sigma-X employs silver-plated copper (SPC) conductors in a coaxial geometry with a 100% SPC braided shield and PTFE dielectric, all manufactured to Shunyata’s Precision Matched Z (PMZ) tolerances, where extrusion and braiding machines run at one-quarter speed to hold conductor surface, dielectric thickness, and shield precision to minute variances. This ensures consistent 75-ohm characteristic impedance across the cable’s length, which is critical for minimizing signal reflections and reducing cable-induced jitter. The Sigma-X incorporates Shunyata’s patent-pending TAPc (Transverse Axial Polarizer) technology with 35 elements, a passive electromagnetic polarizer that reduces a form of distortion unaddressed by competing cable designs. It also features a dual-element CMode filter for common-mode noise reduction and has undergone four days of KPIP v2 (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) conditioning, which refines conductor metals at the atomic level and dramatically reduces break-in time. The standard length is 1.0 meter, and this 2M example is a custom-order length. Connectors feature gold/copper contacts with a black chrome finish, impedance-matched to 75 ohms. Handcrafted at Shunyata’s factory in Poulsbo, Washington, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty (US and Canada). Retail on a standard 1M Sigma-X S/PDIF is $2,995; a custom 2M length with mixed RCA/BNC termination commands a premium above that.
