I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. This Sony VPL-XW7000ES 4K laser projector is in on consignment from one of my local clients. The unit is in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Usage hours are unknown but believed to be low, as both the owner and his wife are medical professionals with limited time for extended viewing sessions. The laser light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. This projector was part of a 16-channel home theater system that has been taken down as the client prepares to move to a new home. Several other components from this same system are also available, including B&W CT8.2 LCR speakers, McIntosh amplifiers, a Trinnov Altitude 16 processor, and Nordost Tyr 2 speaker cables. This is the standard lens configuration. The VPL-XW7000ES has been discontinued and replaced by the VPL-XW8100ES.
The unit comes with its original box and all accessories.
The XW7000ES was the projector that changed the value equation in Sony’s native 4K laser lineup. When it launched, it effectively replaced both the VPL-VW915ES ($20,000) and the VPL-VW1025ES ($40,000) while outperforming the latter in brightness and HDR processing. At 3,200 lumens from the laser light source, this projector delivers a punchy, high-contrast image that works in both dedicated dark rooms and ambient-light living spaces. The native 4K SXRD panels produce a genuinely cinematic image with none of the pixel-shifting artifacts that plague competing technologies, and the X1 Ultimate processor handles HDR tone mapping on a scene-by-scene basis with a sophistication that makes most other projectors look static by comparison. The 95% DCI-P3 color coverage means you are seeing essentially the same color palette that was used to grade the film in post-production. The ACF lens with motorized zoom and extensive lens shift (plus/minus 85% vertical, plus/minus 36% horizontal) makes installation flexible in almost any room configuration, and picture position memory lets you toggle between aspect ratios without recalibrating. At 14kg, it is remarkably compact and light for a true native 4K projector. If you are building a serious home cinema and want the image quality that Sony’s SXRD technology is known for at a fraction of the original retail price, this is an exceptional opportunity.
Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for your consideration.

More about the unit:
The Sony VPL-XW7000ES is a native 4K HDR laser home theater projector featuring Sony’s three-chip SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) imaging system, the same LCoS-based technology used in Sony’s professional 4K digital cinema projectors. The projector uses a newly developed 0.61-inch native 4K SXRD panel with a true resolution of 3840 x 2160 (8.3 million pixels per panel), paired with a laser diode light source producing 3,200 lumens of brightness. The laser source is rated for up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation with no lamp replacement required. Image processing is handled by Sony’s flagship X1 Ultimate for Projector processor, derived from the company’s BRAVIA television division. The processor enables Object-Based Super Resolution (detecting and enhancing individual on-screen objects), Object-Based HDR Remaster (analyzing color of individual objects and adjusting contrast for greater depth), Dynamic HDR Enhancer (scene-by-scene HDR tone mapping with laser output control), and dual-database noise reduction and upscaling. The projector supports HDR10 and HLG HDR formats, and is IMAX Enhanced compatible. Color reproduction covers 95% of the DCI-P3 cinema color space using Sony’s Wide Dynamic Range Optics and TRILUMINOS PRO algorithm, which detects color from saturation, hue, and brightness to ensure natural reproduction. The Advanced Crisp-Focused (ACF) lens features a 70mm aspherical front element with a floating focus system using two moving lens groups and extra-low dispersion glass for distortion-free images with accurate color from corner to corner. The lens provides a 2.1x motorized zoom with a throw ratio of 1.35:1 to 2.84:1 and motorized lens shift of plus/minus 85% vertical and plus/minus 36% horizontal. Picture Position Memory allows saved lens positions for different aspect ratios. Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs supporting 4K/60Hz (input lag under 21ms) and 2K/120Hz (input lag under 13ms). The projector supports 3D viewing, Motionflow motion processing, and is compatible with anamorphic lenses via V-Stretch for 4K. Home automation integration includes Control4, Crestron, Savant, AMX, OvrC, and Domotz support. The chassis is 20% smaller and 30% lighter than its predecessor, the VPL-VW915ES. Dimensions: approximately 460 x 210 x 517mm (18.1 x 8.3 x 20.4 inches). Weight: 14kg (30.9 lbs).
