I own Bliss Hifi, a high-end audio boutique based in Minnesota. This Shunyata Sigma Digital power cable is in on consignment from one of my local clients. It is 1.75M in length with a 15A C15 IEC connector. The cable is in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This is the original ZiTron-generation Sigma Digital, now succeeded by the Sigma V2 NR and Sigma-X NR.

The cable comes with its original paperwork and packaging.

The Sigma Digital was Shunyata’s answer to a specific problem: digital source components generate a unique spectrum of high-frequency noise that contaminates the AC line and bleeds into neighboring components. Unlike a general-purpose power cord, the Sigma Digital’s ZiTron noise-reduction circuit was tuned specifically for the frequencies that digital equipment produces. The practical effect is not subtle. On a DAC, transport, or music server, the Sigma Digital pulls away a layer of grit and grain that you may not even realize is there until it is gone. The presentation opens up, the noise floor drops, and there is a refinement to the upper frequencies that lets you relax into the music rather than listen through digital artifacts. The original ZiTron Sigma series earned The Absolute Sound’s Product of the Year Award and set the standard for what application-specific power cable design could achieve. While Shunyata has since moved to the V2 and X-series platforms, the original Sigma Digital remains a highly capable cable, and at used market pricing it represents serious performance for the money.

The Shunyata Sigma Digital belongs to the original ZiTron Sigma power cable series, which represented the pinnacle of Shunyata Research’s power cable line when it launched and earned The Absolute Sound’s Product of the Year Award. Designed by Caelin Gabriel, the Sigma Digital was purpose-built for digital source components: DACs, CD transports, music servers, and streaming devices. It features 8AWG aggregate conductors using Shunyata’s VTX hollow-core geometry, formed from cryogenically treated OFE C10100 copper (99.99% purity), which forces current to travel along the conductor’s outer circumference to minimize skin effects and inductance reactance. The Sigma Digital incorporates Shunyata’s ZiTron noise-reduction circuit, specifically tuned to address the high-frequency noise spectrum generated by digital components, preventing that noise from propagating to other electronics sharing the same AC line. All noise-filter elements are passive and non-reactive, ensuring they do not impede current flow or compromise dynamic performance. Despite being an 8AWG cord, the Sigma Digital was designed not to compromise DTCD (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery), maintaining full dynamic capability while filtering noise. Termination uses Shunyata’s CopperCONN connectors with a base metal of solid Tellurium copper, treated with Shunyata’s Alpha Cryogenic Process for optimized conductivity. Every element of the cable was tested and optimized using Shunyata’s proprietary DTCD Analyzer to ensure maximum instantaneous current delivery. Each cord underwent KPIP (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) conditioning. The standard length was 1.75M; this example is 1.5M. Handcrafted at Shunyata’s factory in Poulsbo, Washington, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty (US and Canada).
